About the Global WPE team:

The Global Portfolio consists of 32 locations, over 800,000 sq ft, in 16 countries supporting over  8,000 employees. The team is responsible to provide strategic and operational oversight across all global offices, incl. Facilities Operations, Real Estate Portfolio Management, Design & Construction, Space Planning, HSE and Security Management. The Global WPE team is part of a transition and integration of a global WPE organisation within Adevinta. This is an exciting and unique journey with lots of opportunities within a challenging and changing environment.


We are now looking for a WPE Strategy & Policy Lead to oversee the strategy and policies of the global portfolio and support the Global Head of WPE and team. The primary responsibility of this role is to design, develop and deploy key WPE strategies and policies (including a workplace experience strategy, real estate strategy and workplace sustainability implementation initiatives). This senior role will work closely with the Global Head of WPE, deputising where necessary, as well as partnering with the WPE Leadership team to ensure an exceptional workplace experience for all Adevintans.

Key responsibilities

Strategy, Policies & Standards

  • Partner with the Global Head of WPE on the design, development and deployment of global workplace experience strategies for Adevinta, encompassing the workplace experience, workplace real estate portfolio, and workplace sustainability implementation.
  • Partner with the Global Head of WPE to ensure the new strategy reflects data-driven insights and business requirements and supports broader commercial and people objectives
  • Responsible for creating a new global set of policies and standards relating to workplace experience in line with applicable global/local regulations

Delivering operational excellence

  • Responsible for oversight of a number of high value areas across the portfolio (including Security, Space Planning and Data & Analytics).
  • Manage the execution and operations across these areas, ensuring they are in line with the new strategy and wider policies, setting clear OKRs that flow from those set by the Global Head of WPE.

Engaging with the wider business

  • Actively participate in the WPE leadership team, promoting strategic priorities and activities.
  • Activity engage with other aligned functions to ensure that strategies and plans are aligned and coordinated; for example, Sustainability, Finance, Procurement, P&T, BTSP, People & Change.

Managing an exceptional team

  • Manage and recruit a small central team with the expertise to deliver exceptional results.


  • 10+ years experience in workplace/facilities management or other relevant discipline
  • Solutions oriented - analytical, consultative to guide relevant stakeholders through the process of creating smart, impactful, high performance workplaces
  • Experience in workplace/facilities management or other relevant discipline

  • Experience in managing, developing and motivating a team
  • Experience of managing multiple time-critical and sensitive projects, often on a global scale

  • A team player - you actively contribute to a positive environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills in English

Desired skills

  • Experience in developing and setting strategy is highly desired
  • Verbal and written communication in Spanish and/or French
