Job Description
The People Business Partner (PBP) will be responsible for providing strategic direction for the human resources component of the overall management of the company, playing a strategic role in the Leadership Team for Italy and the wider European HR Team.
As a People Business Partner you will advise the Senior Management Team on issues relating to employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, referring to Center Of Excellence (COE) and Global HR Model processes and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Aligns the local reps of Global Functions and COEs with the overall business plan and strategy of the Global group
- Work closely with the Global HR Team and local heads of functions to help break down silos, drive best practice throughout the organisation, and create an environment of collaboration and success
- Ensures that all employees are provided equal opportunity, fair and consistent application of policy, regardless of nationality or citizenship
- Ensures that the HR team support the needs of the business, but are also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organisation, using appropriate change management tools and techniques
- Recommends solutions and advises management on significant employee relations matters
- Drives ER activities pending in internal organisations.
- Directs the administration of the compensation system and methodology, ensuring consistent practices
- Acts as a key liaison with the community, as it may relate to the company overall or to some aspect of the human resources function
- Keeps fully informed of changes in labour or employment law matters
Qualifications
- University degree in human resources, business administration, behavioural science, or management
- Substantial experience in general human resources or related work, with an emphasis in employment, change management, employee relations
- Professional standard of knowledge to lead teams through functional/general expertise in the HR and associated functions
- Thoroughly familiar with local labour and employment law and practices
- Complete and in depth understanding of international management standards and principles
- Able to work effectively with all levels of the organisation, including top, middle and supervisory levels of management
- Effective interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a demonstrated leadership and management skills
- Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork to achieve results
- Able to exercise discretion and good judgement, with an ability to understand the effect of decisions overall in the company
- Able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyse data
- Advanced verbal and written communications skills in English
