As a Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in building a state-of-the-art scalable system. We want you to collaborate with the team to build a strong shared technological and domain expertise. Join us to work with the latest technologies in a tech-agnostic, international environment.
Design, develop, maintain and operate the global product
Role model documentation and world class APIs
Keep on top of the latest developments in distributed systems and cloud tech
Help to improve our ways of working and communicate best practices
Continuously monitor the health and quality of our systems
Work with technologies including:
Python, Kotlin (some Java pending deprecation) / Postgres, DynamoDB, Redis, ElasticSearch / Kubernetes / Kafka, SQS / CI/CD: GHE, Travis CI, Spinnaker and Helm (investigating ArgoCD) / Observability: Datadog / Grafana Cloud
We are looking for an experienced Back End Engineer with:
Strong problem solving skills
Good understanding of systems design, algorithms and data structures
A desire to work innovatively with Python and Kotlin
Experience with AWS or any public cloud
Experience with distributed computing technologies (not essential)
Collaborative work experience with geographically distributed teams (not essential)
